2.1 AHP Products
Overview
Avera Health Plans (AHP) knows that prevention is the best and most cost effective medicine. All of our products focus on preventive health care and wellness. AHP offers a series of benefit plan designs for fully insured and self-insured clients, including multiple plan designs with a range of deductibles, out of pocket maximums and pharmacy benefits. AHP Fully Insured Products
AHP offers multiple plan designs for fully insured products. Although the product designs vary by employer group, there are two general plan design categories offered by AHP:
Avera Benefit Solutions
Avera Benefit Solutions provides groups with the flexibility to choose the benefits most important to them and to put together a package that fits their company’s needs. For more detailed information, visit our Benefit Options page.
Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
A high deductible health plan with a companion HSA.
For specific details on each product, Providers may call the AHP Service Center or utilize ePower©, an electronic solution to review benefit information.
AHP Self-Insured Products
Avera Health Plans Benefit Administrators (AHPBA) is the self-insured division of AHP offering administrative services and supplemental products to employer groups with over 75 employees. AHPBA works closely with employers to provide benefit consultation throughout the plan year. Ultimately, the benefit design is created and funds are paid by the employer, with AHPBA providing administrative services.
