6.1 Quality Program Overview

The Quality Program provides a framework for the evaluation of the entire spectrum of Avera Health Plans (AHP) operations, based upon the philosophy of Continuous Quality Improvement.  The Quality Program includes annual planning, ongoing quality measurement and evaluation, and ongoing improvement initiatives.  The program is authorized by the AHP Board of Directors and is administered by the Plan’s management through the Quality Council.
