Pay It Forward and Support Essential Workers

The COVID-19 pandemic is changing our daily lives and putting a strain on businesses of all sizes as we all figure out how to move forward as communities.

We know essential workers are going to their jobs every day around town – hospitals, the post office, grocery stores and manufacturing plants are just a few examples.

In honor of 605 Day, we'll be donating gift cards from local businesses to essential workers in the communities we serve. Avera Health Plans wants to support businesses and these essential workers, and we thought you might like to join in the fun.

  • During the week of June 1 – 6, buy a gift card at a local business and give it to an essential worker you want to thank.
  • You can also drop your gift cards with your local Avera Foundation and we'll randomly distribute them for you.
  • Avera will give out gift cards in addition to any donated cards to randomly selected essential workers.*

Together we can send our businesses some much needed love while also putting a smile on the folks who are helping keep us safe and our communities running. That's a win-win in our opinion.

*Winners will be notified privately to maintain privacy.
