What should I do if I cannot log in to the MyHealthPlan App?

First of all, check your member ID card to make sure you entered your information correctly. Your name, exactly as it appears on the member ID card, is how you need to enter it when registering your username and password.

If all information is correct and you still cannot log in, please contact us via email or 1-888-322-2115. We can reset your password and help you login.

What should I do if I forgot my username?

Your mobile app and Avera Health Plans member portal username and password are the same. If you forget your username or password, click the "Forgot Username or Password?" link below the login button.

How can I make a monthly premium payment on the MyHealthPlan app?

You can make one-time premium payments through the MyHealthPlan app with your checking account information.

To make a premium payment simply follow these steps:

  1. Download the MyHealthPlans app on iTunes or Google Play.
  2. Register for an account using the information on your member ID card. If you're already registered, login with your username and password (same as the Avera Health Plans member portal), scroll down and select "Online Payment."
  3. Select "Make a premium payment." You will be re-directed to our payment page to process your payment.

Can I pay my claims through the MyHealthPlan app?

No. You can view an explanation of benefits for every claim processed in the MyHealthPlan mobile app. However, you must pay all claims directly to the provider when you receive their invoice.

The only payment you can make through the MyHealthPlan app is your monthly premium payment.

I'm an Avera Health Plans subscriber. Can I see my dependents' claims?

In accordance with HIPAA privacy rules, each subscriber can see the claims and eligibility of dependents under the age of 18. Health information pertaining to the subscriber's spouse or dependents age 18 and older cannot be viewed without their written consent. Complete this Authorization for Access of Health Information Form [PDF] to receive access to your dependents' health information with their permission.

Who can send me messages through the MyHealthPlan app?

When you submit a question via the MyHealthPlan app, you'll receive a response from an Avera Health Plans Customer Care Center representative. Our team collaborates with our pharmacy manager, chief medical officer and other expert staff, as needed, to make sure you receive the answers you need in order to maximize your benefits.

Are messages sent through the MyHealthPlan app secure?

Yes, all messages sent and received through the MyHealthPlan mobile app are secure.
